This is the fastest way to get a new roof but I don't particularly recommend it. This is when you get a new layer of shingles installed over the top of your existing shingles. Code only allows a max of two layers on a roof. One major reason I don't push for roof-overs is that you don't get a chance to get down to the deck sheathing to see if there was any wood rot caused by leaks or other damages but you do save yourself some money by eliminating the tear-off and detailing processes.
This is my preferred type of roof install. This process is explained more thoroughly in the process page which the button below will take you to but basically this entails a removal of all the existing roofing materials and all brand new materials installed. The bonus to this type of roof install is that during the process we will be able to make sure that the deck sheathing is solid and free of any rot and or defects. It is more costly but worth it in my opinion.
