We begin this process with the removal of the old roofing materials down to the wood decking. Once the original materials are removed we can look for damaged or rotting deck sheathing that might need replacing.
Now that the old roofing materials have been removed we detail the wood decking. This includes removing all of the nails and staples leaving the decking with a nice smooth surface.
Starter metal is installed along all of the eaves and drip edge is installed on all of the gable ends or rakes. New flashing will be installed as shingles are applied around all of the pipes, vents and or skylights and chimneys.
Once the wood surface is prepped, the hybrid synthetic water moisture barrier or ice and water under-layment is installed in an overlapping fashion to further prevent any water from getting through the materials and into the wood decking beneath it.
We install starter shingles along the base row. After we have nice straight first row we continue it up and across the roof making sure to keep a consistent straight pattern and therefore create a water-tight seal over your home.
After the new roof is complete our team makes sure to do a very thorough cleaning of the grounds. We use magnets on rollers to make sure there are no nails left behind as well as all other roofing debris.
